Many thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Lots of you will know that my husband Les Niewiara died last December 18th of pancreatic cancer. The disease has a 3% 5 year survival rate which Les 'beat' by 3 weeks. He raised a lot of money for PCUK by cycling from London to Krakow last summer and I felt it fitting that I run the London marathon (I last did it in 1989!) for the charity.
It is a disease that is difficult to detect until it is too late and if any of my sponsorship money could help detect the disease in one person before it is too late then the 4 hours of pure hell in addition to 4 months training, will be well worth it.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Pancreatic Cancer UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
