I have been raising funds for Macmillan now for 10 years having lost a friend and brother-in-law to Cancer.  It has touched home again as my mother is now ill with this horrible disease.  

I think we have all heard of Macmillan Nurses, and in fact that is still how many people refer to them, but Macmillan do so much more. Something I have  noticed, and something I hadn't realised before taking my mother for Chemo and other appointments is that all the information literature  provided for patients and carers is produced by Macmillan.

This year I have taken on not just 1 but 2 challenges!

The first is the Lake District 4 Fell Challenge in June . This tough 13 mile multi peak, 1 day challenge will see me summit Scafell - England's highest mountain - Bow Fell, Esk Pike, and Great End in the the breathtaking Lake District.

The second challenge in November, will take me through villages and coffee and tea plantations in the Kerala region of South India.  We shall climb ridges and mountains and experience the rich cultural and local history of this ancient region.

I always pay my own expenses, so 100% of anything you are kind enough to donate will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
