Story
This is my third and final London Marathon, I have chosen a charity which touches on the lives more people than you would imagine and as they are a small charity do not receive allocated Marathon places.
Piggy Bank Kids was founded in 2002, in 2004 they launched the Jennifer Brown Research Labratory and is uniquely focused on both pregnangy and neonatal research.
There is no greater heartbreak than to lose a child, and nothing can prepare a family for the loss of a much longed for new baby. Even with the best healthcare available, it remains the case that one in 100 pregnancies ends in devastating loss - from stillbirth or neonatal death in the crucial days and weeks after birth. Premature babies are increasingly common for a number of reasons, but neonatal specialists can improve the actions they take to make sure early babies grow and thrive if greater knowledge and expertise emerges from new research. That is what the Jennifer Brown Research Labratory is there to do.
Please dig deep for this very worthy cause.
