My name is Sue, on 29th May 2009 I will be leaving the UK travelling to Peru to take part on the Inca Trail Challenge raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.  All the money I raise will go to the charity as I will be covering my own travelling expenses. 

Four weeks to go now, training is going great, I have been tea total for a month, not even a drop of wine, I have lost more weight, have stamina, become used to sheer drops... LOL and I feel fitting fit for the event.

I was luckily cured of cervical cancer in my 30’s but unfortunately my father and father-in-law both died of cancer and I am taking part in this trek in their memory.  The 10 day challenge is at high altitude and it promises to be an extremely testing physical challenge as we will be trekking and rough camping in remote and dramatic conditions.  The event, and the months of preparation, will be tough as I have never done anything like this before (I have never even camped) but I am committed to raise at least £3,300.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
