We have been delivering free packed lunches and Friday Stay Play & Eat sessions since 2015 to children in our community - this project gives us an opportunity to build a more cohesive community, to help families in economic need discreetly and to redirect 'use by' food (on its date) from landfill into nutritious meals. This year we are launching the project under the name of Loaves & Fishes, an umbrella brand for all our food based outreach.

Last year we saw a 60% increase in uptake distributing over 1600 lunches.  We anticipate an even greater demand this summer so we are hoping to raise more funds. The money raised covers the cost of extra food purchases and also entertainment and activities for the Stay Play Eat events  which provide a safe place for parents/carers to socialise and build friendships whilst enjoying a healthy lunch together.
