Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Sunday Strollers are walking 5 miles on Sunday 16th September through the Deepings to raise money for local hear to meet groups in Peterborough.

Hear to Meet is a new pilot project which gives people with hearing loss in the Peterborough area the opportunity to meet up over a cup of tea or coffee and exchange experiences and information.

The Hear to Meet coffee clubs are run by a team of volunteers and we have now established clubs in Peterborough town, Whittlesey, Werrington and New England. We hope to be setting up more clubs in other areas in and around Peterborough. The Hear to Meet coffee clubs are free to attend and it is sometimes possible to arrange transport for people who need it.

We have five Hear to Meet clubs at the moment and plan to open three new clubs in 2012. If we can open more clubs alongside our Hear to Help Hearing aid support services, we will be able to offer people a ‘one stop shop’ for all their hearing needs.
