Story

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate.

As-salāmu `alaykum, May there be Peace and Blessings Upon you.

Jazāk allāhu khayran (Thank you) for taking time to visit my JustGiving page. I pray that you are in the best of health both physically and mentally and that your aspirations and future endeavors are fulfilled in the given circumstances.

As we draw nearer to the end of Ramadan, we are urgently fundraising for the crisis in Palestine.

I have maintained that solidarity, Unity, Humbleness and the sincerity of prayer, are personally for me, the most important elements that combine a sense of support and personal awareness of the atrocities that is occurring in Palestine. So to show our support I have set up a team that will be selling, In Shaa Allah (God Willing), Support Palestine Looms #supportpalestinelooms, where 100% of the profit will be going to the relief effort to support Palestine via the amazing work of Ummah Welfare Trust.

Ummah Welfare Trust Is a UK Registered charity established in the year 2001. The aim of the trust is to assist and relieve the suffering of the poor and the destitute across the world. The Trust operates in more than 20 countries across Africa Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

The idea of the loom band is more than a fashion accessory. Its popularity has increased and its potential to raise awareness on all levels of society is significant to highlight the necessity of showing our support for Palestine, as its current worthy predecessors ‘the wrist bands’ .

People may question the validity of the fundraiser, the seriousness of the fundraiser and the small outcome of this fundraiser. I admit it is a small gesture compared to the other significant works we have seen from fellow members of society. However I genuinely and sincerely believe this is a stepping-stone to highlight the disproportionate happenings in Gaza, the ending of lives, and the mass loss of everything for the individuals in Palestine. So please show support, WEAR these Looms in a unified manner, and ALL UNITE FOR A FREE PALESTINE IN SHAA ALLAH (God willing).

I will be selling various types of Looms that coordinate with the Palestinian Flag. If you consider the images on my page there are two main Looms. The price and description are set out below:

  2. Single Loom - £1.00

"Every Person has to give in charity." The people then asked: "(But what) if someone has nothing to give, what should he do?" The Prophet replied: "He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what he earns)." The people further asked: "If he cannot find even that?" He replied: "He should help the needy who appeal for help." Then the people asked: "If he cannot do (even) that?" The Prophet said finally: "Then he should perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds, and that will be regarded as charitable deeds." - Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 524

This quote from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) brings about a very important revelation: Charity is not about materialistic things. Some forms of charity are doing good deeds, keeping away from evil, protecting others from harm, helping the blind and deaf, providing homeless people shelter. These are all great acts of charity. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said. "Smile for your brother and that will be charity for you." Fiqh-us-Sunnah, Volume 3, Number 98.

So please show your support in your own positive way.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you from the deepest part of our hearts, and may Allah (God), regardless of your background, grace you with blessings, mercy and success in all that you endeavour in.
