Police Unity Cycle Tour · 28 July 2017

COPS is a UK charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers and police staff who have lost their lives on duty to rebuild their lives. We aim to ensure that surviving family members have the help they need to cope with such tragedy and they remain part of the police family.

Story

UK Police Unity Tour

In July 2013 25 riders and a support team set off from the National Police Memorial in London; for the first time making the journey across 6 counties to the National Memorial Garden in Staffordshire.  They raised £10,000 for Care of Police Survivors (UK).  Following the success of the first ride the event has grown each year and in 2017 200 riders from police forces all over the UK will participate.

This year 5 officers and staff from Surrey Police will join the event for the first time and cycle 200 miles from Surrey Police HQ in Guildford to pay their respects at the National Memorial and raise money for CoPS. The recent tragic events have highlighted the dangers facing police officers and the need to support this charity for those left behind.

Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure and all funds go to support the families of officers killed in the line of duty.
