This page has been set up to enable donations to Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services, in honour of our great friend, and colleague Susan O'Rawe, who tragically passed away on February 6th 2017.

Susan was young and fit, and she had been healthy and full of life until she became unwell on the evening of 5th of February. Susan passed away the next day in hospital and left behind her husband Hassan and close family & friends. Susan’s family, friends and all of her colleagues at Diageo were deeply shocked by what happened. Susan gave thirty great years working here at St. James's Gate, and her legacy will be felt for a long time to come.

Nobody who knew Susan will ever forget what a fantastic, caring and vivacious woman she was, so we are now fundraising in honour of her life. We aim to raise as much money as possible for Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services - an organisation that Susan held in very high esteem, and in fact, was central to fundraising efforts for, at previous events at St. James's Gate. 

In 1879 Our Lady's Hospice and Care Services was established by the Congregation of the Religious Sisters of Charity on a 27 acre site in Harold's Cross, Dublin. Today Ireland’s largest hospice provides specialist and loving care to those with a wide range of needs from rehabilitation to end-of-life care in Harold’s Cross and Blackrock Hospice. In addition, its 25-strong specialist community palliative care team makes over 10,700 visits to people’s homes in south Dublin and north Wicklow annually. 

Just over 600 staff, 300 volunteers and one therapy dog work with patients and their families at a most difficult time in their lives.
