Most know I was diagnosed with a rare for of Ovarian Cancer (Small Cell Ovarian Cancer) early 2017.
I had been very unwell and underwent surgery and chemotherapy which I think would wipe most out - NOT ME! I managed to maintain a level of fitness and have kept playing hockey and running a lot which has really kept my spirits up. I have found it so so important to have some things to work towards and focus on to keep my mind and body positive and active! Therefore, when Mum mentioned the idea of doing Ride London, I was super keen!
I want to do Ride London for Ovarian Cancer Action for a number of reasons: Firstly, cycling is something new that I have never done before. Secondly because its giving me something to focus on and achieve in the long term. and most importantly, to help towards OCA's amazing research so that one day, hopefully in my lifetime, they can find an effective treatment or even cure for my potentially incurable type of cancer.
I know I have asked for donations before, but any amount little or big for this will really help motivate me to GO FOR IT! <3
