Story
This year we are going to run the Race for Life Pretty Muddy event so we can contribute to the ongoing fight against cancer. If you know the four of us, you'll know we're not the most athletic or sporty people and are more likely to be dragging ourselves out of bed at 4pm for breakfast than going for a run. But this just proves that almost anyone can do this, we can all do our bit to raise money and support the cancer research which is saving lives every single day.
In our early 20s we all know someone who is affected by cancer, whether it's directly or indirectly, and quite frankly it's horrible. People we know and love have lost their battle to cancer and have been taken out of our lives too soon. However, thanks to the relentless work done by Cancer Research UK, more and more people are surviving, people we know have fought and beat cancer. You are all our inspiration, whether the battle was won or lost, you are all the strongest people we know and it is you we will be thinking of when we're struggling round the course. Please donate money to enable Cancer Research UK to keep doing the work that is saving lives every day.
I know most of my friends are poor students but donate that £2.50 you were going to spend on a vodka redbull on your next night out. We appreciate every single penny you can spare and promise there'll be a photo of us sweaty and muddy post-race for you all to laugh at.
We're doing this race for everyone affected by cancer, for the people who have won, the people who lost and the people who are still fighting every single day. Thank you in advance for all your support.
love Sophie, Lily, Phoebe and Dulcie xxx
