My story started in January 2008 when i was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy (heart failure), in May 2008 i recieved a heart tranpslant which i am deeply graitful  for giving me another chance in life, and since then i have not looked back since returning to work and back to playing football.

I took part in the 2010 British Transplant games where i won a silver medal, this opend my eyes and helped me decide what i want to achieve, i started training looking ahead to the the 2011 British transplant games in Belfast where i was very successful coming home with 4 medals,

cycling 5k time trial = Gold, cycling 10k road race = Silver, volleyball = Silver and archery = Gold.

After i looked ahead to the 2012 European Transplant Games in Apledoorn Holland where i came 4th in the 20k cycling road race and gained a Silver medal in badminton.

In August 2012 i took part in the British transplant Games in Medway Kent where i was very sucessful coming away with 4 medals but i got the 2 that i wanted as i won Gold in the 5k cycling time trial and 10k cycling road race which also ment i am the first HEART TRANSPLANT recepiant ever to win the double! i also got a Silver in archery and Silver in javelin.

Due to my sucess in cycling i have been selected to to represent Great Britain in the 2013 WORLD TRANPSPLANT GAMES IN DURBAN SOUTH AFRICA!

Since this news i have left my job so i can comit myself to training as my aim is to become world champion but also show the world that just beacuse i have had a transplant i am no different to any other athlete!!!
