Story
For my 2.6 challenge I will be doing 26 barrel throws with 2.6 dogs on sunday 26th April.
Our dogs are pub dogs and with them being large they often play with empty barrels. I will be doing 26 barrel throws with 2.6 dogs (1 medium-large dog, 1 giant dog that weighs 7 1/2 stone and is taller than me in his hind legs - clearly the size of 1.6 normal dogs).
If 2.6 million.people can raise £26 each the 2.6 challenge will raise enough money to support UK charities through this scary an unprecedented time. You can pick a specific charity to raise for like I have or choose for your dontion/ fundraiser to go into the central pot to be split beteen uk charities.
If you want to do the 2.6 challenge head to www.twopointsixchallenge.co.uk for ideas, more info and links to donate/ fundraise.
Anything you can donate is greatly apprecited.
“For many of the UK’s charities, the day of the London Marathon is the biggest fundraising day of the year,” said Hugh Brasher, Co-Chair of MSO and Event Director of London Marathon Events. “One of the founding pillars of the London Marathon was ‘to show how the family of mankind can be united’. We hope that The 2.6 Challenge, which starts on the day our 40th Race should have taken place, will embody that spirit and inspire people, families and communities to fundraise for their chosen charity to help Save the UK’s Charities. Right now, our vulnerable members of society need the help of charities more than ever before.”
