“Rett’s Syndrome............ Imagine the symptoms of autism, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's, epilepsy, and anxiety disorders…all in one little girl”
Hello, my name is Holly Boyes and I am 2 and a half years old. On May 11th 2011 I was diagnosed with Rett’s Syndrome, a rare but severe neurological disorder affecting girls. Although rare, it is the most common genetic cause of severe disability within females and causes sufferers to be entirely dependent each and every day. I will need 24-hour care for the rest of my life and will be unable to walk, talk or even use my hands. What I always will do is laugh and smile and give love…..in order to make my life as comfortable as possible though I will need specialist equipment like wheelchairs and beds and also expert medical attention and therapies.
My friends Les, Tom, Tim and Dave are riding Tandems from Bournemouth to Cheltenham to help raise money for this. The journey will take them 2 days to complete 111 miles. Please give generously to help myself and other little girls like me!
Thank you very much, Love Holly x x x
