British 10K London Run 2014 · 13 July 2014 ·

Vasculitis UK provides support, advice and information to those suffering from vasculitis and their families. VUK also sponsors research into the causes and treatment of vasculitis and works to raise general awareness of ALL types of vasculitis. VUK is run by volunteers who all have vasculitis.

Story

Another bowel-loosening effort on behalf of Vasculitis UK, Tavis's team looking to smash last year's PBs.

The reality will be much more pathetic of course. Except...we have a couple of whippets on the team, so it may all be to play for:

  • Tavis C-D - training interrupted by GCSEs, but getting fit fast...could he be in a League of Legends?
  • Daisy C-D - in the gaelic her name translates  as Running Red Doe-Deer, and like Samson her strength lies in her hair
  • Rupe Bonny - likes nothing better than chasing criminals, just shout "stop thief" and off he goes like a racing snake in blue
  • Henry Bonny - looking to take his old man this year, the young bull challenging the old, scarred herd-leader
  • James C-D - we didn't think the cavalry break into a run (or do any work), but this one is a Tough Guy with a Marathon track record
  • Sophie - a pace-setter for James, or vice versa? The race will tell...
  • Claire C-D - a bundle of determination, and all those 5am training sessions are about to pay off - go, girl-friend!
  • Fergus C-D - a strong prospect unless the gardia/malaria/worms get him first, so cry havoc and let loose the bogs of yore
  • Duncan C-D - 6-ft of chiselled man-beauty, or so the mirror says

Regardless of all this, all donations will be a huge help to a very deserving cause.
