Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our "Team PWSA Climb The O2" JustGiving page.

30 of us are undertaking a 52m high trek over the roof of the O2 building to raise money for Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (PWSA UK).

If you would like to make a donation to the whole team rather than sponsoring individuals, please donate on this page.

You can find out more about our individual team members by clicking on the team page below.

PWSA UK is a small, little known charity that gets hardly any publicity, no government support, yet those affected by this rare, complex, genetic syndrome face challenges every day. Babies are born floppy, unable to feed, with mild to moderate learning disabilities and will be both emotionally and physically immature. In childhood, due to a malfunction of the hypothalamus in the brain, an overwhelming and untreatable hunger develops  which cannot be removed however much they eat. Without rigorous food management and an exercise programme, life threatening obesity will develop. PWSA UK is a lifeline to many people and we want to help it continue to provide the support, information, advice that are so vital to so many.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
