Sandringham Lakes Challenge - Team Allen · 17 September 2010

Working in partnership with the school, the charity exists to support the financing of projects that cannot be funded from the schools state budget.

Story

Cancer can wreck people's lives. Grove house is a charity that cares for people with cancer and other life threatening conditions. But they can only do the work they do with funding. That's why in September nearly 100 members of the sandringham school community are going on a hillwalking expedition to raise money for Grove House. Some, like me and dad are camping out in the wild. During the trek we will be facing

-14-16 hours of intense physical exertion...

- around 7,000 feet (over 2,000m) of ascent and descent...

- A walking distance of more than 17 miles...

- Wild-camping in the (no doubt very wet) mountains...

- And the ultimate challenge - my first Pot Noodle.

- In other words - further than a half marathon, over some of the roughest terrain in Britain, with over 25lbs of gear on their backs, camping in the wild... and no proper toilets

All the money raised will be split between Grove House and the school. So please, don't delay, donate today.
