We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

The first lump in my neck appeared in April 2009.  SEVEN months later after 8 visits to an ENT specialist, 2 visits to a rheumatologist, a saliogram, an ultra sound, 2 MRI scans and a CT scan I was eventually diagnosed with malignant Large B Cell diffuse / Follicular Lymphoma Stage 3B (Cancer of the lymph system).

I had never heard of Lymphoma - if I had I might have been able to point the doctors in the right direction!!  (Britain has one of the worst track records for early diagnosis of Cancer in Europe .....)

After diagnosis, I transfered to the Royal Marsden in London and my treatment there could not have been better.  The team were fantastic - expert in every respect, and caring. I am now in complete metabolic remission!

So my wonderful family and I are going to cycle to raise money for Lymphoma research and just as important AWARENESS of Lymphoma. Lymphoma is dramatically on the rise and the most common cancer among young people.

So THANK YOU for your support.  13 miles on a saddle will be quite a challenge, especially for Fritz and Wasi!!
