150km Across the Lake District for CALM
Our Story
In September 2026, we’re walking 150km across the Lake District to raise money for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) — a charity doing vital, life-saving work in suicide prevention and mental health support.
This challenge isn’t just physical. It’s deeply personal.
Our team comes from very different backgrounds, but we’re united by shared experiences with mental health:
🔥 Stevie Callear – ex-firefighter
⚽ Ryan Shotton – ex-Premier League footballer
🌿 Martin Murphy – Wild Wisdom & Wellbeing
🪖 Simon Bell - ex-soldier
🎥 Callum Clowes – will be documenting the journey and asking the tough questions
All of us have faced our own battles. Along this journey, we won’t just be walking — we’ll be sharing our stories, having honest conversations, and hopefully helping others feel less alone in what they’re going through.
We’ve had our first get-together, the planning is underway, and the momentum is building 👊
There’s a lot to do — but we’re committed, and this matters.
Why We’re Supporting CALM
Too many people struggle in silence. CALM works tirelessly to offer support, hope, and a lifeline to those who need it most. If this challenge — and these conversations — help even one person reach out, then every step will be worth it.
