Story
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. I am a Trustee for the Future of Taru, and have been lucky enough to visit the charity and the Primary and Secondary School that it operates in Taru, Kenya on two occasions.
This June, 4 friends and I are looking to raise £3,000 for the charity, which will go towards upgrading the toilet facilities at the High School.
This is the fifth Coast2Coast fundraiser my friends and I have took part in for the Future of Taru, with the first in 2021.
In those previous 4 rides we have cycled 910 miles, raising over £14,500 in the process! If we can complete this ride and hit our target, that will take us to over 1,060 miles cycled and over £17,500 raised!
We should add that we are not professional cyclists! But we are going to complete the route and hope to raise some significant funds towards this incredible cause.
So if you are able to donate a few pounds towards a fantastic charity, hopefully we can help transform the futures of the children who are the Future of Taru.
100% of monies donated will go directly into the charity. Any money the lads and I are spending on the cycling route is coming out of our own personal savings, including all of our transport costs, accommodation, food and drink, spare inner tubes and blister plasters!
Thank you on behalf of the lads and all of the teachers and pupils at the Future of Taru; hopefully we can all help them build a bigger and brighter future.
