We are Cherie & Catherine: sisters who are raising funds for Barnardo’s, we have first hand experience of adoption, our Nana was adopted when she was young and we became a mum & aunty again through adoption.

We really understand the harsh implications that adopted/looked after children face on a daily basis, and we’d like to offer every child/young adult the same opportunities they need in life.

We don’t have any experience in running except running for the bus or running late but we wanted to challenge ourselves to run the Great North Run on 7th Sept 2025.
