Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Both of us were given an opportunity to take part in the Ben Nevis Summit at Sunrise Trek and we have decided to support Action For Children and raise funds for this amazing cause.

What are we doing....? Well, we are tackling Ben Nevis… at night… with nothing but our torches, our enthusiasm, and probably far too many snacks.

We’ll be stomping our way up the highest mountain (1,300m+ above sea level) in the UK while everyone sensible is sound asleep (unless you are north of the border where you will likely be up celebrating Scotland demolishing world football superpower Haiti at the World Cup!).

The route zig‑zags all the way to the top and on the way back down we’ll get to see the beautiful Scottish sunrise - assuming our legs still work and the Scottish weather plays ball! It’s a tough challenge especially as Mark M-L normally doesn't even walk down the hill to work from his home whilst Mark Burnell loves to run but only on any flat surface he can find. We have expert mountain leaders to keep us safe, on track, and hopefully upright.

By the end of this 10 hour trek, we’ll have sore legs, great memories, and apparently an amazing sausage bap to look forward to!

Prevention: We give young people the support they need to grow up safe and happy. Projects like The Blues Programme teach important life skills and help to build resilience. It’s simple and it works.

Advocacy: Children don’t have a say in many things that affect their lives. We listen to what they want. We take their concerns to the government. And we campaign for better support and resources.
