Heather's eldest son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a month after his 3rd birthday.

Ever since, Heather and her family have been working around the clock (Type 1 gives you no other choice) not only to help Joe and each other cope with the impact of this disease, but to raise awareness of a life threatening condition which is surrounded in so much misinformation.

We are basically three girls, who are going to climb 1 hill (a big one!), in a beautiful place, and why the hell should you sponsor such nonsense?! Well first of all we are doing this to help continue to raise awareness, and a little bit of money, to support the charity JDRF who fund research into improved technology for the management of Type1, and ultimately, a cure. Then there is Heather's other, more personal goal:

"Joe faces a challenge each day, within his own body, and he works tirelessly to overcome this challenge and live brilliantly! I hope to set a good example for him and help him see that you can achieve whatever you set your mind too!"

So, if you can chuck us the price of a coffee or a pint (we will not spend your money on these things, we may spend quite a lot of our own on them though), we would be very grateful.
