We’re Nico, Will and Kobir. Three lads from totally different backgrounds with one thing in common: we hate running. Cardio is our worst nightmare. But we’re dragging ourselves through 10km of Northwich pavement for something that actually matters.

We’re running for MAP — Medical Aid for Palestinians. They provide critical healthcare and support to people in Gaza and the West Bank. They work in impossible conditions, getting medical supplies into bombed hospitals, supporting traumatised families and delivering babies in extermination zones.

The numbers are horrifying. Over 52,000 people have been killed in Gaza. Most are women and children. In the West Bank, people are being attacked, arrested and pushed out of their homes by settlers backed by the invading military. Since 2023, more than 1.7 million people have been displaced. But this didn’t start last year. It started in 1948 with the Nakba, when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were violently expelled from their homes. That displacement has never stopped.

We know a 10km run isn’t going to change the world. But silence and inaction won’t either. This is our way of standing up, raising funds and refusing to look away.
