We've outgrown our building. Right now dozens are waiting for a space on each retreat, and many more would come if they were able. We are fundraising for a bigger retreat centre with a bigger team, helping women join the Order for many years to come

Story

Angie and Fi from the Glasgow sangha are going to climb 3 Peaks for the 3 Jewels and are inviting anyone who would like to to join them. Come for one, two or all of the walks, and invite family and friends as well. You might want to set up your own fundraising page, use this one, or make a donation if you don't want to fundraise yourself. There are 3 walks which are easy, moderate and challenge.

When and Where:

Saturday 3rd June, Beinn an t-Sìdhean

A beautiful 4.5 mile walk taking approximately 4 hours including a leisurely picnic stop at the top. Meet at the Forestry Commission car-park in Strathyre at 11am, lift-shares from Glasgow can be arranged leaving Glasgow around 9.45. More information can be found here: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochlomond/beinn-an-t-sidhean.shtml

This 10.5 mile walk includes 1352 metres of ascent and can take 8 to ten hours including breaks. Experience is needed, group support is appreciated! https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/fortwilliam/bennevis.shtml

Saturday 9th September, Ben Lomond

Likely one of Scotland’s most famous mountains, this 7.5 mile walk enjoys beautiful views in all directions from the top. We’ll meet at 10.30am in Rowardennan car park, and should return by 4.30pm. Lift-shares from Glasgow can be arranged, leaving approximately 9.15am.

About the charity

It's all about friendship: helping women in their journey towards ordination into the Triratna Buddhist Order. We are a Buddhist community living together, running retreats and supporting each individual in the deepening of their Buddhist practice.
