Raising money for Action for Children

Boycott your Bed Northern Ireland 2022 · 7 October 2022 ·

Boycott your Bed is back! This October, its time to get your colleagues together. Create a dream team. And take on the challenge of sleeping out. Wherever you are in the country, youll raise vital funds to support vulnerable children across the UK.

Story

We spent one chilly night sleeping outside at Stormont estate on Friday 7th October. Why? So that Action for Children can make children’s dreams of a safe and happy childhood come true.

Right now, there are 3.9 million UK children in poverty. And with the cost of living crisis spiralling out of control, this number is going to continue to skyrocket. Tonight, children all over the UK will go to sleep hungry. Some of these children don't even have a warm bed to climb into. Many families don't know how they're going to be able to afford to heat their homes this winter.

Action for Children make sure the children they work with have the basics – like warm clothes, hot meals and a proper bed. They can offer the right mental health support so children thrive. And they can provide protection and recovery to child victims of abuse and neglect.

Please help us raise vital funds to help a vulnerable child's dreams of a safe and happy childhood come true:

£40 could pay for gas and electricity for a family for a week

£50 could buy clothes and shoes for a child

£100 could provide a child with a bed

£200 could provide a family with a cooker

We really do appreciate every penny, and every share. Don’t forget to add Gift Aid for an extra 15% for this important cause at no extra cost.

Thank you for any amount you can contribute to help us reach our goal!
