Story
We are walking to honour the memory of our beloved dad, grandad and great-grandad; a courageous man know to so many Charles Glynn (Charlie).
He lived his life to the full, sharing his kindness and spark with all that met him. He will be remembered by all for his wicked sense of humour and the endless love he shared with his family and friends. For a man, who in later years struggled with many health issues such as vascular dementia, strokes and idiopathic intracranial hypertension, he never let anyone see him without a smile on his face or sharing a funny joke.
A pivotal piece of our family has gone from this world but his light and love will never leave us. He has gifted us with so many stories and memories to share for a lifetime. As he was the man who walked everywhere, often pushing one of his grandchildren and in later years his great-grandchild we thought what better way to represent him by walking in his memory.
We are asking people to please sponsor our walk by donating to the Alzheimer’s Society through this page to help continue fund the research. Maybe we can save other families from watching their loved one slip away in the same way.
We will be walking on Sunday 18th September at 11am in Blackpool with others for the Alzheimer’s Society Memory walk.
Thank you to all who have kindly donated.
