We're taking part in Race The Thames Virtual 2022 - join us to bust the winter blues!

Race The Thames is the annual fundraising event run by London Youth Rowing (LYR). The money raised will be used to help support LYR's work in London and Leeds. LYR's programmes allow young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to take part in rowing, giving them the benefit of participating in the sport and allowing them to fulfil their potential. The Fountain Therapy Trust

We will also be supporting The Fountain Therapy Trust (charity no. 1188084), with 50% of the total funds raised to go to their work. TFTT aims to support, encourage and relieve those suffering from emotional or psychological distress. Its particular focus is those in the community who do not have the resources to find and make use of such help from private counsellors or organisations. Motivated by the Christian ethos of its 3 founders, its core belief is that anyone who needs emotional support should have access to appropriate professional support regardless of their ability to pay.

Covid 19 and its subsequent fallout has led to a significant impact on the well-being of our communities. TFTT is therefore launching a seminar/workshop programme in 2022 by addressing some of the deeper issues which Covid has provoked. In particular, an 8-week support group for those bereaved by the Covid pandemic who were not able to say goodbye to their loved ones in the usual way.
