TEAM 2021 - FUNLOVING FUNDRAISERS

I want to build on the success of "Team 2019" and invite you to join my "Team 2021" team of 'Funloving Fundraisers', for a 6k Walk on 21 August, at Stansted House, Stansted Park, Rowlands Castle, PO9 6DX.

Details: Registration will be at 10:00 with photo opportunities and the walk will start at 10:30. We will be joined by Sue Birchmore, Strategic Technical Director for World Vision International, who will inspire us with words of encouragement and Charlotte Tipping from World Vision UK is walking with us too.

The work starts now to bring clean water to vulnerable children in the developing world a commodity which has become even more precious these past months as the covid pandemic has brought additional hazards.

6K is the average distance people, usually girls, in the developing world, walk every single day to collect water which is often dirty.

In 2020 I walked 6k for 6 days on my own because of the lockdown, it will be great to have a group of 'Funloving Fundraisers' join me on 21 August. "You know it makes sense!" (Del Boy)

World Vision delivers clean safe water to one new person every 10 seconds and 3 more schools every day with clean water. Clean water is a basic essential of life for our health and well-being.

Today, 27 July, I walked the '6k Walk' again to make sure I had remembered the route and I hadn't gone very far when these beautiful creatures appeared in the wooded section, so 'Funloving Fundraisers' you will have to keep your eyes open and with luck you too will get lucky!
