Raising money for The Royal Air Force Central Fund and Mind

Story

Poor mental health is one of the biggest issues that impacts society today and we in Defence are not immune. Within the Royal Air Force we work for Number 2 Group and as a Group, we have been trying to improve in how we support our Whole Force through the development and release of a Group Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy. To launch the Strategy and to increase Mental Health Awareness, 4 of us (Justin Wall, Gez Currie, Graham Ivison and me, Chez Davies) have chosen to tell our stories with respect to mental health and to support Mind and the RAF Central Fund by getting on our bikes and cycling around every RAF station that 2 Group supports. So that’s 630(ish) miles over 7 days, starting on Sunday 23 August.

While we are all riding to promote awareness, Chez & Graham are supporting Mind, and Justin & Gez are supporting the RAF Central Fund. To read their stories or help them out, please donate through the specific rider. Many thanks and we will keep you posted on our progress.
