We enable people with blood cancer to survive by finding them stem cell donors

Story

Anna Bartczak, Monty Gershon, Joshua Golding, Oliver Nguyen, Adam Bier, Nicholas Emblem, Marcus Emblem, Cristian Marcos, Julian Bier and Catalin Ciocan are all running the Royal Park's Half Marathon in aid of Anthony Nolan charity.

The Trustees of Span Trust support our team running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for Anthony Nolan.

Anthony Nolan save the lives of people with blood cancer who need a stem cell (or bone marrow) transplant. Span Trust is the charity arm of the Span Group. We have 7 energetic members of the Span Group staff, plus we’ve been lucky to also include 3 extra pairs of legs to build the numbers to the team to 10 runners.

The team have started their 12-week training plans now to get race day ready. In total as a team, we will be running 104.8 miles (or over 168km!) on race day for this worthwhile cause, not including all of the training miles to prepare for our big challenge in October.

We’d like to raise £10,000.

To put this figure into context, that would be enough to fund adding 250 new potential stem cell donors to the register, helping to find the match needed to save someone’s life.

Please help us achieve this by adding your generous donation to the JustGiving page which will hugely encourage the team to train even harder for a result that will please everyone.

What could be more rewarding than to save a life?
