Campaign by Gurkha Welfare Trust (RCN 1103669)
Ever thought about scaling the heights of the great Mount Everest, well why not try it from the comfort of your own home this May?! Take on this epic challenge during isolation, conquer within 12 weeks and earn your medal!

Story

Our team is drawn from some of the personnel deployed in Iraq as part of Combined Joint Taskforce Inherent Resolve, working to assist Iraq in ensuring defeat of Daesh.

We are raising funds for The Gurkha Welfare Trust which provides financial, medical and development aid to Gurkha veterans, their families and communities. These men who by their courage and endurance, have made a magnificent contribution, past and present, to our freedom today. We owe them a great debt for their loyal and devoted service in numerous campaigns over many years.

Our challenge is to climb the 144 steps, multiple times every day, until we achieve the 8,848 metres. In total 341 ascents will be required.

General Strickland commissioned into the 6th Queen Elizabeth's Own Gurkha Rifles and is now the Colonel of the Royal Gurkha Rifles, he is also a trustee of The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
