Emma is one of our fabulous Year 11 students. Back in November, exactly one week before her 16th birthday, she was diagnosed with leukemia. This threw her whole world upside down and life became a whirlwind of hospitals and treatment. I have been Emma's Head of Year for the whole time she has been at TEC and she has always had a smile on her face - this hasn't stopped. Emma is one determined young lady who has a whole team of supporters around her. The Teenage Cancer Trust have already supported Emma and her family, for which they will be eternally grateful. Living with cancer is hard enough as a teenager but even harder when we're living through a global pandemic. The Teenage Cancer Trust need our help to raise funds more than ever. Their work in supporting young people has had to be re-evaluated and the imagination and creativity that they have demonstrated to young people living with cancer has been hugely appreciated. Emma has been on the receiving end of their care and we would like to help Emma to give something back.
