Story

Waddington Walkers are a team of cancer nurses who work together on Waddington Unit at Lincoln County Hospital, Lincolnshire.

In 2020 we came up with the idea of doing some fundraising for the charity, Macmillan Cancer Support. Upon researching methods of fundraising we stumbled upon The Mighty Hike. Sadly, COVID then hit and a national lockdown meant this had to be delayed.

Fast forward to March 2021 and we are in full swing with training for the hike going ahead in June in Ullswater, Lake District and along with that we have the not so small task of raising £4000 between us as a team.

Macmillan is a fantastic charity and the work they do for those patients experiencing cancer is second to none.

Please help us to help this charity by sponsoring us, we appreciate anything and everything.
