Abbi: this is my first half marathon and I’m so grateful that all donations will be going towards such an incredible cause. Both of my grandmothers were diagnosed with breast cancer later in their lives, leaving me and my family members at a higher risk of this terrible disease. Suddenly the reality of knowing what to look for became all more real and without a charity like CoppaFeel, knowing what to look for and how to check would not have been possible.

Scarlett: I am honoured to announce that I am taking part in my first Half Marathon, in support of this amazing charity. This amazing charity raises awareness of what to look for when checking your chest at home and with this important message being spread, so many beautiful lives have been saved through early detection. Every penny that I am raising through my half marathon, will go towards spreading this message further and supporting this life change cause.

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest.

We educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves. We do this because when diagnosed early and accurately, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection truly can save lives.
