Story
In 2021, a member of our team was expecting a much longed for baby and very sadly, through a series of events, the baby, Hazel, died. It’s a story that many within our community can relate to and will understand how we, as a close knit community, all went into a period of mourning.
We wanted to do something together to honour Hazel’s very short life and to raise some money for SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society). We decided to attempt to climb Ben Nevis, Great Britain’s highest mountain. We say attempt, as if it was Everest, and whilst we recognise that many would take it in their stride, those of us who consider the Sussex Downs to be a challenge, are somewhat daunted by it!
We also decided to raise money for Dementia Support; a charity that is very local to our two practices. This charity does amazing work providing one to one support, information, advice, activities and respite care to help local families live well with dementia.
The climb is taking place on Saturday 3rd June, so please wish us well and pray for good weather and no midges!
