Story
At Anthony Barton Funeral Service, we are deeply committed to supporting our local community, not only in times of loss but also in raising awareness for causes that affect the families we serve. That’s why we are proud to be taking part in the Alzheimer’s Society Manchester Memory Walk this October.
We have seen firsthand how dementia and Alzheimer’s disease touch the lives of so many people. Whether it's the individuals living with the condition or the loved ones who care for them, the impact is profound As a funeral service, we are privileged to hear people’s stories and honour their memories. This walk is our way of giving back by walking in memory of those who are no longer with us, supporting those currently affected, and contributing to a future where dementia no longer steals memories.
Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time. We owe it to the 1 million people across the UK currently living with dementia to campaign for change, whilst providing vital day-to-day support. By taking part and raising money, or donating to someone who is, you are helping to do this.
Once you donate, JustGiving sends your money directly to Alzheimer's Society you don't need to do anything and it's the most efficient way to fundraise. So, who will you walk for? #MemoryWalk
