Story
As part of our bi-annual 360 Challenge series, in 2025 our team are taking on the 'London Halloween Walk' challenge to raise money for our charity partner 'Simon Says Child Bereavement Support'. We will walk a 25km loop through London’s spookiest streets and historic haunts, including Whitechapel and Jack the Ripper’s old stomping grounds.
Aligning to our values and standing as a social enterprise we have supported Simon Says since the company was formed in 2018. Since then we have delivered a range of projects on their behalf, supported the children and families they work with, and raised money for them through company events.
In 2021, we raised £6,000 when our team completed the 'Great South Run' and in 2023 we raised £7,000 when our team undertook the 'Jurassic Coast Challenge'.
Simon says are a local Hampshire charity who provide invaluable support to children and young people who have a significant person in their life who has died, or is dying. When children are dealing with the death of someone close, they may feel angry, guilty, frightened and alone. It can be very difficult for a parent, carer, close relative or friend to help a bereaved child when they are grieving too.
Simon Says aims to:
Support Hampshire children and young people up to the age of 18 years who has a significant person in their life who has died or is dying
Offer information and advice to move forward in their lives, but never to forget their significant person
Run a telephone support line
Host monthly age appropriate support groups
Offer the opportunity to meet other families who have also been bereaved
Support and give advice and training to teachers, and other professionals working with bereaved children and young people
Host an Annual Residential weekend for up to 45 children and young people
