Story
My wife Megan was diagnosed with leukaemia back in 2016 I learned about a charity I’d never really known much about before: Anthony Nolan. They help find matching stem cell donors for people with blood cancers and disorders — people like my Meg. It was through them that I began to understand just how crucial their work is. For many patients, a stem cell transplant is their best — and sometimes only — chance of survival. But matching donors can be hard to find. That’s when I made the decision to sign up as a stem cell donor myself. Lucky Meg never required a stem cell transplant but we did meet many people on the ward who did and saw how it saved there lives and gave them and there family’s a second chance.
In April 2026, I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Anthony Nolan along with my friends Gemma and Ryan. Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
