Story
Ailsa and Nicole have both been fortunate to access the services of Pendleside Hospice and have experienced the care, hard work and effort of all those who work for the hospice. You are treated like family and Pendleside touches so many people’s hearts.
Ailsa has accessed various services at Pendleside Hospice since her cancer diagnosis in 2015. The fact that staff continue to put up with her is testament to their hard work, dedication and patience.
Nicole lost her grandma to cancer in January 2019 and she spent her final few weeks in the hospice. She has the fondest of memories of her being there and visiting. The staff were truly amazing and the feeling you get as you enter the hospice (even on what can be the worst day ever) is warmth and a home from home.
It means a lot to be given the opportunity to give something back so that other individuals and families can have the same experiences that we have.
Any additional sponsorship raised directly by our fundraisers goes directly towards the vital care provided by Pendleside. It costs £7,500 to keep the Hospice running for one day, so every penny that is raised is so important. You may never know exactly how your support will help but you can be assured that the impact your support will have on local families who can benefit from the Hospice services at one of the most difficult and emotional times will be huge and every so appreciated.
Thank you for supporting our Cross Bay Walk fundraisers and the Hospice!
