For this Movember, I and my fine colleagues at Anderton Concrete will be donating our upper lips to the cultivation of fine moustaches. Whilst Movember is traditionally a cause to raise money and awareness of Men's Health issues, it must be remembered that 85% of all homeless people are men. So with that in mind, Ibstock's chosen charity partner, Shelter, seems an appropriate cause to grow moustaches for!

Ibstock plc - Proud to be supporting Shelter.

We are extremely proud and excited to be partnering with Shelter. We're working with them to raise awareness and vital funds to support people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing.

A home is a fundamental human need and a basic moral right, as vital as education or healthcare. But in Britain today, that right is being denied to millions of people whose lives are blighted by homelessness, bad conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. As 4,750 people sleep on the streets on any given night and 90,000 households are stuck in unsuitable temporary accommodation, such as homeless hostels, we believe we must contribute to the solution through our products, skills and fundraising.

Help us reach our target of £50,000 in our first year to make a difference to the lives of homeless people and those at risk of homelessness.
