Raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK

Cambridge Half Marathon 2025 · 9 March 2025 ·

Experience running on the grounds of one of the UK’s famous University cities of Cambridge, and help us find a cure for dementia.

Story

Andy & Charlotte are running the Cambridge Half Marathon on 9th March 2025 to help raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK in their mission to find a cure for dementia.

This is close to our hearts, as Charlotte's Dad and Granddad both received a diagnosis of Alzheimer's dementia. As we both work in the NHS, we see the impact that Dementia had not only on the individual but also their families. By supporting this charity, it will allow vital research in to trying to find better treatment options, and hopefully a cure for Alzheimer's.

Whilst we both do a bit of running, we have only ever done one half marathon each before which was in 2017 when we were rather younger and fitter than we are now, 2 kids later! Hopefully we won't embarrass ourselves and will be able to complete the course in a dignified manner.

We thank you very much for your support of this incredibly worthwhile cause.
