Raising money for Schnauzerfest

Schnauzerfest 2026
Campaign by Schnauzerfest (RCN 1185975)
We pay vet bills for dogs. The animal welfare crisis in the UK continues to cause enormous problems. With your help together we will deliver financial support where it is needed. Thank you for helping and caring.

Story

When Angel was rescued from a puppy farm she experienced for the first time the happiness of taking a walk outside. Something that we take for granted with dogs who start lives in loving homes and who enjoy regular lives with walks the highlight of their days.

After the confinement of years spent in the breeding industry, Angel's life was a simple one, she was given the freedom to walk as and when she wanted to. She loved her walks, and for most days of her life with us, we walked. Sometimes they were short, around the streets of our quiet village, others were spent exploring footpaths in the countryside. And very occasionally we'd venture out to a beach, which for us is a long trip, but always worth every mile as Angel really loved the sand and smells and messy moments beaches entail.

When Angel died in July, I pledged that I would always remember her with great happiness, she brought so much into the world, and it was a privilege to share 6 years and 8 months in her company. It is my memories of our walks which lift me up when I feel down.

This October I am going to walk for Angel to support Schnauzerfest. And I hope others will do the same. Schnauzerfest is the charity which helps dogs from puppy farms receive the veterinary treatment they need to go on and be adopted and live happy, healthy, active lives. Lives where walks are a regular highlight. Simple, walks with their human and canine friends.

Angel didn't know Susie-Belle. She was the first dog from a puppy farm who I adopted and Susie-Belle taught me that simply walking with her every day, helped her to embrace life, walks healed her mental scars from the 8 years she was trapped in a puppy farm. And from this, friends and I were joined by others and together we all built a dog walking, loving, enthusiastic community, which became Schnauzerfest.

Your donations will help to create the Schnauzerfest Grant fund. This pays veterinary bills for dogs in UK rescues. Your donations are a lifeline to many.

At the heart of Schnauzerfest is a commitment to raising awareness of the exploitative commercial dog breeding industry aka puppy farming, promoting the joys of adoption and simple dog walks.
