Kris and Andy's Bike Ride for Alzheimer's Society

Raising money for Alzheimer's Society
In memory of Anwen Davies & Lynne Griffith

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Riding for Memories: Kris & Andy's Cycle for Alzheimer’s Society

On August 21st and 22nd, Kris and Andy will be hopping in the saddle for a two-day charity bike ride along side a group of our close friends and work colleagues. This isn’t just a physical challenge for us; it’s a deeply personal one.

Why We’re Riding

Dementia is a cruel disease that steals more than just memories—it steals the people we love long before they are gone. Both Andy and I have experienced this heartbreak firsthand, having both lost our mums to dementia in recent years.

We know the toll it takes on families, the long goodbye, and the feeling of helplessness that comes with it. We are riding to honor their lives and to ensure that others facing this journey have the support and hope they deserve.

The Goal

We are raising vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. They are the UK’s leading dementia charity, providing help for those living with the condition today and investing in the research that will hopefully find a cure for tomorrow.

The Challenge: A two-day endurance cycle of over 50 miles along the Copper Trail on Anglesey.

The Mission: To transform our shared loss into a force for good.

The Target: £10,000

How You Can Help

Every penny raised goes directly toward research, campaigning, and support services. Whether it’s the price of a coffee or a larger contribution, your donation makes a massive difference to those currently battling this disease.

"Dementia is the UK's biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes." — Alzheimer's Society

Please join us in this fight. Your support means the world to us—and would have meant the world to our mums.

Thank you for your generosity,

Kris and Andy
