This year the Ashton On Mersey Club Captain Mr Steve McDermott and Lady Captain, Louise Rowley have chosen Alzheimer’s Research and Prevent Breast Cancer as their charities of the year for their tenure in 2026.

At Ashton on Mersey Golf club we have hosted the 100 hole challenge twice in the last 3 years where members have played 100 holes in a day.

This year we aim to more than double the number of members of the 100 Club.

On Friday, the 10th of July seven crazy fools will attempt 100 holes in a day.

Mikey Rostron, Matt Bradburn, John Bray, Blaine Stewart, Mike Brady, Michael Nelson and our first lady participant Deb Truscott will take on the challenge.

If you have any spare change please contribute to this amazing charity to push everyone through the 45 plus miles of golf over 14-16 hours.

Please choose the charity which is close to your heart but if you can’t decide it is the aim of Steve and Louise to raise about the same amount for each charity.

Also come on down and support the team on the day.
