#WishHeroes of the Ultra Challenges 2023

We have an incredible group of #WishHeroes who will be taking on an Ultra Challenge this year. Together, we have the power to light up the darkness for critically ill children.

Story

Update 11th Sept - well that was a hot one, sapped every ounce of energy. But we got through it and completed the full 100 KM.

Massive thanks to all our sponsors

Update - 8th Sept. Less than 24 hours to go. We are both as ready as we can be but haven't prepared for the 32 degree heat in London. Rain all summer and now a heatwave! If it's too hot we might swim the Thames instead.

Just over a week to go. We are both nursing injuries but 100% focused on getting the run completed. Resting up now ready for the big push.

Tony and Gavin will be jogging, I want to say running but :-) the full 100 km Thames Path Challenge route in Sept 2023.

The 100 km route heads upstream from Putney Bridge past Hampton Court to Runnymede at 50 km, then on past wonderful scenery all the way to Henley. A ‘flat’ 100 km – but a real challenge!

Training has started, its going to be a long 9 months :-)

We are raising money for Make-a-Wish and would love your support.

UPDATE - training marathon completed - Windermere 21st May. Hill after Hill after Hill.. but was great to get 26.2 miles in the legs. Now to up the distance!
