Archie’s Army – Walking in Glow for Havens

We are Archie’s Army (Christina, Donna, Sophie and Bethany), coming together to raise money for Havens Hospices through their Glow for Havens event — a charity that has become a lifeline for one very special little boy and his family.

Archie was born in March 2024. During birth, he suffered significant brain damage, and this has shaped his first years in ways no parent ever expects or prepares for. Christina and Ant have kept the details of Archie’s challenges private until now — not out of secrecy, but out of love, protection, and the sheer intensity of navigating a world that suddenly looks very different.

What they do want to share is this:

Archie is gorgeous. He is cheeky, joyful, and full of light. He is also facing a number of complex additional needs — including kidney failure, profound hearing loss, and difficulties with head control — which mean everyday milestones require extraordinary strength, patience and support.

And that’s where Havens Children’s Hospice has made all the difference.

Havens has been a place of serenity, safety and hope. A place where families like Christina and Ant’s can breathe. A place where Archie can access experiences that simply aren’t available in most settings — from swimming and sensory play to physiotherapy and specialist care. A place where they have met people who understand, who listen, and who make them feel less alone on a journey that can often feel overwhelming.

Havens Hospices doesn’t just provide services. They provide light.
