Alice and I have formed a team. Some might say we are an absolutely blinding duo. Others might question why Alice is dragging her Godmother around the Lake District on bike, foor and canoe…. But her we are. Our 2026 challenge sees us taking on Race the Sun Lake District for children's charity Action Medical Research.

Next September we will be setting off at sunrise to bike, hike and paddle around a challenging course in a race against the sun.

We are racing in aid of children's charity, Action Medical Research. They have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.

By supporting our team you will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.

Alice is an incredible young woman. To do this with her will be phenomenal and let’s face it, seeing me trying to get in and out of a canoe is worth a pound of anyone’s money.

With our crew there to share the joy and bring the food… we will have a great day and raise a lot of money too
