Story
On Friday 3rd October, a team of us from Arup will be taking on the challenge of Boycott Your Bed—sleeping out to support children across the UK who go to bed every night feeling unsafe, cold, or hopeless. Together, we’re raising vital funds for Action for Children.
Right now, 4.5 million children in the UK are living in poverty—that’s 31% of all children. Tonight, many will go to bed hungry, struggle to sleep in cold, damp homes, and wake up without warm coats or shoes that fit. It’s relentless.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
By spending one night braving the elements, we hope to help Action for Children provide warm clothes, hot meals, and safe beds to children who need them most.
We’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation makes a difference:
£50 could buy new shoes for two children.
£65 could help more children enjoy a safe and happy childhood.
Childhood is precious. There’s only a short window to get it right.
Let’s take action—together—for children who deserve so much more.
