Team fundraising for Northern Ireland Children's Hospice

Raising money for Northern Ireland Children's Hospice
In memory of Baby Mollie White

This year at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice we cared for over 370 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, in both our inpatient unit - Horizon House and in the local community. We rely on your generous donations to continue to fund our vital services.

Story

Myself and my husband James, are both taking part in a Tandem Skydive on 4th of July in memory of our baby daughter Mollie who unfortunately was diagnosed with a lifelimiting condition whilst I was 24 weeks pregnant. I carried little Mollie for the duration of my pregnancy until she made her brave entrance into this world on the 18th of July 2022. Our little Mollie lived for one day and sadly passed in our arms the following morning on the 19th of July. As a parent, nothing can ever compare to the emotional pain of losing a child and we are forever grateful for that very special bonding time we had with our little Angel.

From diagnosis of her life limiting condition (thanatophoric dysplasia) to 2 years after her passing- we as a family have been supported immensely by the Children's hospice in so many ways- We have had the opportunity to make family memory prints and Mollies big brother and sister have had unlimited access to support services and art therapy sessions from our amazing hospice Nurse Janet and children's support counsellor Donna.

The only service of its kind in NI, Children's Hospice cares for over 370 babies, children and young people each year at our dedicated Children's in-patient unit - Horizon House and in our local communities through our Specialist Community Nursing Team. Their work also extends to families, supporting them from the point of diagnosis right through to the grieving period after bereavement.

The Northern Ireland Children's hospice receive a small amount of government funding, so they rely on the generosity of the local community to help them to continue to deliver this vital and amazing service.

In her very short life our Mollie had shown so much strength and bravery and we now vow to live our lives by her- therefore I hope you can support us in any way by donating for our "Leap of Love" for such a valuable and worthy cause.
